So this morning we got our ministry assignments
and then we went out with a leader to check things out.  I am in a group
of only 2 other girls and we have an awesome leader helping us out for these
first three weeks.  So I am working in a local free clinic here in
town.  I am really excited and REALLY out on my element to say the
least.  I never thought that God would put me somewhere working with sick
people or anything like that. I was totally expecting to work closely with
children doing VBS but God has already begun to change my heart for the people
of Jefferys.  When I look at the experiences in my life it makes sense
that I would work with people in need of some extra love and care, I mean one
of my favorite things to do was to play bingo with my mom when she was going
through her rehabilitation.  haha! I am exited to get to send time in the
clinic and get to know the nurses.  Alot of the patients are being treated for or being tested for AIDS so that will be a new experience for me.  I can’t even imagine all that I will learn.

I pray that in this time God would reveal to me even more
true, genuine, and pure love.  Lord show me how to love your people and
show me what needs I can meet.  I can do nothing on my own or in my own power
just know that I am here for  you to
use.  God thank You for taking me on this adventure!

God has given me the desire to go to Africa
since I was young and it is crazy to realize that I am here.  He has had
so many opportunities to tell me “no this is not where you belong”
but He has continued to confirm that yes this is where I belong for now.
Thank you again to everyone who is praying and continues to pray.  Thank
you all for support!

  1. Britt, God is Awesome how he uses us if we say yes. I am so thankful that God is using you in ways you never thought of. That is God, he does the unusual to us, but oh so perfect for Him. Britt you can minister to those in the hospital and I know you will make them smile!

  2. Yum, sounds like my cup of tea, I love helping people. God is keepin you busy and it sounds like because of that you are staying focused on him and not what is going on around you there.
