Here I am humbled by your Majesty
Covered by your grace so free
Here I am, knowing I’m a sinful man
Covered by the blood of the Lamb

Now I’ve found the greatest love of all is mine
Since you laid down your life
The greatest sacrifice

Majesty, Majesty
Your grace has found me just as I am
Empty handed, but alive in your hands
Majesty, Majesty
Forever I am changed by your love
In the presence of your Majesty

Here I am humbled by the love that you give
Forgiven so that I can forgive
Here I stand, knowing that I’m your desire
Sanctified by glory and fire

Now I’ve found the greatest love of all is mine
Since you laid down your life
The greatest sacrifice

Tonight we worshiped in song under the stars. This song about His majesty, sitting under His majesty spoke to me. God is SO big. Tonight sitting under this blanket speckled light I meditated of this idea of light, the fact that we are light.  I am at a loss for words. Light has no matter, no real existence. It never stops. A little bit goes a long way. As children of God, we are children of light, exposing darkness to light.

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light. Ephesians 5:8

So simple so sweet, “live as children of light” what an honor, what a life! That is it. Be light. In Texas, Tennessee, Africa, Mexico, India, ANYWHERE!   If there is just a little bit of light in a dark room you can see it, and maybe with that little bit of guidance you can get close enough to the light to catch some of it, and so it grows.

Sweet things about the stars…some stars are dimmer than others, at times they struggle to shine. Others are brighter and more noticeable in the dark sky. God created both and has a purpose for both, He receives glory from both. This gives me great hope. Also, have you ever noticed that the longer you look at the night sky the more stars you can see? The more I look at the life of Jesus the more He shows me, the more I’m challenged in the way I live. The more I learn, the bigger He gets, the more I cannot wrap my head around Him. I love it.

You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.  Matthew 5:14-15
