before our debrief then holiday time, it was a great week and it has been an
amazing semester.

This is Mini; we (the clinic crew) met her through Primrose one day in the
clinic and have really enjoyed visiting with her over the past couple of
weeks. She is very sick; she caught TB in her stomach because she is HIV
positive. One thing she mentioned to me and the girls was that she prays
that the Lord would bring her a Christmas tree so that she can have a real
Christmas for her son. It’s her first Christmas on her own and she had
nothing and no way to buy anything because she too sick to work (that’s the
problem here it’s a vicious merciless cycle) we were so excited to bring her a
tree and make ornaments with her and her daughter. She is a believer and
her daughter is going to start coming to church with us at Ithemba on
Sunday. I know giving someone a Christmas tree may seem odd or out of
place but I believe that that tree ministered her Mini and her daughter Lorna I
believe every time they look at it they will know how much they are loved by
the Lord and by His people and that they have not be forgotten and never will
be.

Minis daughter
clinic! First, there is Primrose. She is the cleaning woman at the
clinic; we help her sweep and mop basically everyday….I LOVE HER! She is so
crazy and so fun and SO giving. Everyone around knows her, she listens to
people and does what she can to help or get them help. We make faces at
each other everyday and I show her my dance moves…hopefully she will teach me
some more moves next semester…:D

lady haha. She is so cheerful and great all the time!! She has so
much going on but still keeps going, everyday when we go in we get a big
Athoria hug even though she is SO tiny haha! I have had some really great
conversations with her and I am beginning to understand her more and more, I
look forward to getting to know her better over the next 5 months

Okay I know this is long but I really want to let you guys
know who I am talking about when I say the “clinic crew” or
“we” haha!
This is Andrea. She is an amazing
woman of God, she’s 22 or 20 depending on what Layne tells the
patients…BAHAHA! But for real, before the trip she worked at a library
and now she works at the clinic. She helps out in the pharmacy a lot, she
has a true gift of counting pills. She has such a servant heart, she is
quick to help you out and be there for you always. I thank God for her
presence on our ministry team she is one of a kind this one and I’m so glad
that she will be in Jeffreys with me next year 😀
This is Layne! She is 20
most of the time haha!! She is so good at really getting to know
people. One thing that I have noticed about her over the past 3 months is
that she is good at breaking down walls…but nicely. God has given her
the gift of being able to listen really well to people always, she is so great
for reals. She is going to Swaziland
next semester and I am going to miss her SO much but I know that God has great
things waiting for her there.

year she was working in the clinic, this semester she was able to teach all how
to be effective there, and to not be afraid of it haha! It is amazing the
way her and the other clinic crew last year has paved the way for future teams
to come in. She has taught me so much already about what it means to
truely serve and I am excited that she will be one of my leaders next semester.
Britt,
Wow sounds like God is working like crazy all around you and has gone before you to prepare some unbelieveable relationships. Linda and I and the Girls Want to wish you a Blessed Christmas and Holiday Season. I am sure it will be very different and yet one that you will never forget.
We Love you and will keep you in our prayers. May God Bless and protect and shine brightly in your life today.

Oh Britt
Thanks for sharing “the crew” it is neat to see who you are with. God is sure working among you all. And taking care to meet needs. To share Christmas with Mini and family and I’m sure others, is so precious. Christmas such a great time to share CHRIST. Withhout Him there would be no Christmas.Oh, that people would understand and open their hearts to THE BABE. So let’s be alert and bold to tell someone this season.
Have a Blessed Christmas, What will it be like for you? Certainly one you will prize and remember. Go girl, with God.
love you xoxoxo and always we pray for our Brittany

make all the more sense; especially, when I pray! ;D
I can’t wait to hear more happenings at Jeffrey’s Bay when you start up again!
I love you sooooo much BO!!! Your amazing heart for Christ shines through at all times (even when you’ve just woken up.) I miss you, but look forward to May debrief when I can hear all about how God has used you. I love you, have a wonderful Christmas all over AFRICA!!! God bless you dear. (Oh and plant a tree for me?? I’ll plant one for you!)
Thanks for sharing! Wishing you a Merry Christmas, we’ll be thinking and praying for you and for the lives you are touching.
Miss you,
Lynde
Hey Britt,
Oh my gosh you look sooo happy! We all miss you so much, especially Monica, she wants to grow up to be just like you…
Thanks for sharing with all of us, we now can put a face to their names. How funny there sits Layne with all the live plants enjoying nature and chillin without a care in the world (kind of like our Layne, lol) must be the name.
Blake is home for Christma break, prayin like crazy for next semester to hurry and start so that he can be out on his own again. He is already tired of trash, dusting, sweepin and dishwasher duties he misses the quiet MESSY dorm life!
Brittany you are in our prayers everyday and we can’t wait for next spring when you can tell us all about Africa in
person, chillin in pool/spa. He is the reason for the season, thankfully we believers have spiritual warriors like you
to go to the opposite end of the earth to share with folks
like Mini. xoxo Rich, Dawne, Blake & Monica
